Configuration

When an electron instance is started for the first time, a @xwiki/cristal-electron directory is created, and inside it a settings.json file is initialized. The directory is placed in the most relevant place based on the default settings of the operating system:

• %APPDATA% on Windows
• $XDG_CONFIG_HOME or ~/.config on Linux
• ~/Library/Application Support on macOS

Once created, it is possible to manually edit this file to add new configurations. See the backends section for more details.

Limitations

Ubuntu 24.04+

Users of Ubuntu 24.04+ experience an error when starting most of the electron packaging, at the exception to flatpak.
